Fluent in English and Spanish languages, she is a problem-solver with extensive experience in accounting services, mainly in the private sector. Patricia has broad knowledge about Strategic Planning and Risk Management, and currently functions as Team Lead in the Controller’s Department of Rogers Communication Inc., where she has served for over 33 years. Mrs. Rojas is passionate about community causes and is one of the pillars at the San Lorenzo Community, where her actions focus on societal and spiritual wellbeing. In the winter of 2012, Patricia faced an experience that marked her life when during her lunch break, she went out of her office to get some food and came across a destitute mother with two children who were dressed in rags, shivering and showing signs of extreme hunger. Patricia’s immediate reaction was to give her winter coat to the mother and then took the family to a near store, bought them winter clothes, and feed them. On her way back to the office she felt that the harsh climate was taking a toll on her; but, at that moment she realized that helping those in need was her destiny. Patricia graduated from Humber College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance and is currently working towards her Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation at Ryerson University.
